The manufacturer of specialised chemical products Weicon has developed a special adhesive and sealant that is suitable for a wide range of applications: Weicon Green Tube Flex 310 M F1X.

Suitable for many materials

Weicon Flex 310 M F1X is an elastic adhesive and sealant based on MS polymer. The grey adhesive is very strong and universally suitable for permanently fixing almost all materials to a variety of surfaces. Thanks to the very high initial adhesion, bonding is possible on vertical surfaces and even overhead, both indoors and outdoors. For example, Flex 310 M F1X can be used to bond metals, many plastics, ceramics, wood, glass and stone to each other.

The permanently elastic adhesive can be painted over “wet on wet”, is sandable, weather-resistant, moisture-resistant, ageing-resistant, mould-resistant and UV-resistant. It is briefly (up to 30 minutes) resistant to temperatures up to +180 °C and can be powder-coated after a curing time of four days. The adhesive and sealant is free of silicone, isocyanates, halogens and solvents and is non-corrosive.

Flex 310 M F1X can be used to fix skirting boards, battens, strips, frames, panels, boards, tiles, stones or EPDM sheets.

For many industrial sectors

It can be used in dry construction and interior finishing, metal construction, tank and apparatus manufacturing, container construction, ventilation and air conditioning technology, in trade fair and shop construction, yacht and boat building – in fact, anywhere silicone or silicone-based products are not suitable.

Green Tube

Green Tube is the more sustainable packaging for flexible adhesives and sealants. The tip and lid of the packaging are made from 100% recycled plastic. The cartridge body is made from 100% cardboard and the adhesives and sealants are contained in a tube-shaped bag. Using this combination of materials reduces the amount of plastic required by 80% and allows most of the packaging to be recycled. The cardboard cartridge causes 53% less CO2 emissions in the manufacturing process than a standard PE cartridge. The Green Tube can be used with any standard cartridge gun. The tube-shaped bag extends the shelf life of the products by more than six months compared to PE cartridges – without compromising on product quality or user-friendliness. The Green Tube is the alternative to conventional plastic cartridges.
